Course Description:
The Pilates Cadillac Tower module provides a thorough introduction to exercising with the Pilates Cadillac Tower, or Trapeze Table, teaching a variety of movements for clients with different levels of ability. It trains students to use modifications and props to ensure that clients are moving properly and to help them improve their muscular strength, flexibility, body mechanics, and postural alignment.
At the completion of the course, students will be able to design safe and effective Pilates Cadillac Tower routines for clients at every level of ability. They will have developed strong observation skills that will enable them to detect incorrect movements and modify them using proper verbal cues with imagery.
Requirements for Cadillac Module:
- Demonstrate knowledge of proper use and maintenance of Cadillac Tower
- Demonstrate ability to use props and small apparatus to safely modify and enhance exercises on the Cadillac Tower
- Design and execute a balanced one-hour lesson plan for the Pilates Cadillac Tower incorporating all muscle groups and accounting for any needed modifications as assigned
- Complete required hours
- Pass quizzes
- Pass practical exam
- Write essay detailing how a client can be trained using the Cadillac Tower to achieve a specific goal (to be submitted after all hours are completed and after written and practical exams have received a passing grade)
Prerequisites:
- Successful completion of Pilates Mat 1 & 2 and Introduction to Pilates Apparatus modules
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
- Proof of healthcare provider insurance for fitness instructors
