Course Description:

The Exero™ System module provides a comprehensive introduction to exercising with the innovative Exero System. It will prepare students to design workouts on the Exero System that integrate cardiovascular, isometric, resistance, and suspension training. It will also show how props and modifications can be used to customize the exercises to fit the needs of clients with different abilities and health needs.

At the end of the course, students will be able to develop a safe exercise program on the Exero System for a class setting and a personal training session. They will know how to use the Exero System to help clients work in all the planes of movement, improve their cardiovascular health, and enhance their strength, flexibility, and balance.

Requirements for Exero System Module:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of proper use and maintenance of Exero System
  • Demonstrate knowledge of how props and small apparatus are used to safely modify and enhance exercises
  • Design and execute a balanced lesson plan for the Exero System incorporating all of the muscle groups and accounting for any needed modifications as assigned
  • Choreograph a cardio routine using all of the planes of movement
  • Pass quizzes
  • Pass practical exam
  • Complete required hours
  • Write essay on how a client can be trained using the Exero System to achieve a specific goal (to be submitted after all hours have been completed and after written quizzes and practical exams have received a passing grade)

 

Prerequisites:_MG_0748_lores

  • Successful completion of Pilates Mat 1 & 2 and Introduction to Pilates Apparatus modules
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
  • Proof of healthcare provider insurance for fitness instructors
